A new graphics card — ATI FirePro RG220, was recently added to the range of the ATI video cards produced by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
According to the creators, this new graphics card is aimed primarily at designers, engineers and digital content creators.
It has a circuit board with a bus PCI Express 2.0 x16 and is cooled in a passive way by a large black aluminum radiator with a needle-like structure. The accelerator has 512 MB memory and is compatible with DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 2.1. It meets all the requirements of Windows XP/Vista/7 platforms and is characterized by a maximum power consumption of 35W.
On the back side of this new graphics card you’ll find two Ethernet connectors and one DMS-59 output, to which (with the help of an appropriate adapter) you can connect two monitors with DVI-D interface and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The Ethernet connectors are needed to connect the remote terminals through PCoIP protocol.
It is also worth noting that the new graphics card supports both conventional and stereoscopic displays, and, what is really cool, two ati video cards like this can work in a single system.
Currently, there is no accurate information about the price of ATI FirePro RG220.
