The History Of Pressure MeasureThe first attempts in history to measure pressure were made a very long time ago. The efforts of the day were not in vain as they lead to modern technology and its continuing evolution.

The first attempt to use pressure intensity potential to the fullest was made during the 17th century. The famous scientists Torricelli and Pascal were engaged in experiments with pressure–thus the first prototypes of barometer were made. These scientists’ experiments served as a background for further science discoveries of Offo von Guericke, Boyle, Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac and others.

Special attention is to be given to the 19th century when mechanical measurement technologies came to the forefront.

Lucien Vidie invented the aneroid barometer, which was used to measure atmospheric pressure incorporating a spring balance. This was surely a firm step in a new era. The early pressure measure methods were replaced by pressure transducers and transmitters. The pressure sensor, also known as pressure transducer, measures the pressure of gases and liquids.

TheĀ transducer and transmitter are the obvious testimonials of modern developing technology. Who knows what surprises and unbelievable inventions await us in how pressure is measured?
