It’s common knowledge that iPad has become synonymous to tablets, much like Colgate is to toothpaste or Kleenex is to tissue. You can base this trivial knowledge from virtually everywhere. However, did you know that there just might be three android alternatives?
Well, it does happen. With cool gadgets mushrooming out of nowhere, expect the unexpected. There are the top three-iPad rivals:
ASUS’ Eee Pad Transformer Prime is a cross between a tablet and a notebook. It also boasts of a real QWERTY keyboard instead of a virtual one. This is a real cool feature especially for those of us who just can’t get used to a touch screen keyboard. It also has 18 hours of battery life which is twice the nine hours which iPad offers. That’s nine more hours of computing.
On the other hand, one of the cool gadgets that qualify itself as an Anti-iPad is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. It is a great deal smaller than iPad and features a 1.4GHz dual-core processor plus a full aluminum construction.
Meanwhile, Barnes & Noble’s NOOK Tablet is as small as Samsung Galaxy cheap notebooks, but cost less than the four tablets do, costing just $249. There’s still a cheaper version, priced at $199, but it has smaller storage and memory.
More cool gadgets out there prove iPad is not the only tablet in the universe. Check them out yourself to see which the best one for you is.
