LG is emerging with three new laptop computers, each for budget, ultraportable and premium classes with 3D support. I will explain the ultraportable laptop LG P530 in details. When you take the first look at this gadget, the first thing that you will realize is that its portability is its main advantage. With its 15.6” screen and full size keyboard, it weighs only 2.2 kgs, which is closer to the weight of regular 14” small laptops. Such weight and capacity comes along with the thin frame of 4.7mm, which did not make it impossible to place a web camera on top of it. The outlook of this ultraportable laptop is simple, but very solid at the same time. It seems like they specially designed this laptop was for public presentations. Although the full size keyboard is very handy, the touchpad disappoints majorly, at times you may not feel how your finger slip away from the sensor area, such a touchpad is more common for small laptops. Thanks to its glossy cover, the display is very bright and rich in colors. The disadvantages of the screen are shades and hotspots in bright light.
LG P530 is armed with some nice equipment, it has four core 2,3 Ghz Intel Core i5 processor with 4 Gb of RAM, a 640 Gb 2.5” SATA HDD and two graphic adapters; a built-in Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M with DDR3 memory and DirectX 11 support. Such graphics equipment allows you to play the newest 3D games on medium settings.
This ultraportable laptop has preinstalled Windows 7 with some trademark LG utilities, such as Cyberlink Youcam, Office 2010 Starter and a 90-day trial of Norton Internet Security.
Overall, the laptop is good both for its functions and portability. It costs about 1,000 USD depending on the retailer.
