This time our current technology news will focus on iOS 4 — the latest mobile operating system for the iPhone offered by Apple.

It is so simple and easy to use: you just need to work with your fingers on the touchscreen, just like you did with previous iPhone models. The technologies and features built into iOS 4 are multifunctional, but at the same time far from being complicated and obscure.

Here are some of the amazing and useful features of iOS4:

• Multitasking — This allows you to run several apps simultaneously. However, this is available only for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 3rd generation users.
• Organize your phone — The new folders option of iOS 4 allows you to have up to 12 apps in a single folder so you won’t get confused among the variety of apps in your phone.
• A single mail box — All of us have more than one email, at least we separate our personal email and work email. iOS 4 enables you to group your various inboxes into a single inbox.
• HD video recording — With iOS 4 you have access to high-def recording. The recording rate is 720p at 30 frames per second and you can share it with just one click.
• Tap to focus on video — This feature is now possible to use during video capture as well.
• Face time — With iOS4 installed on the iPhone 4 it is possble to make video calls. No setup or special accounts are required, it works right out of the box.
• iBook — It is not only an ebook reader, also an opportunity to browse and shop for books from anywhere (assuming there are no internet connection problems wherever you happen to be). You can view and read PDFs easily.
• Wireless keyboard support — Now your iPhone is equipped with wireless keyboard support based on Apple’s ingenious mobile wireless technology.
• The most astonishing innovation is perhaps the iMovie application used with the built-in digital camcorder. It allows you to make videos, edit them and share them with friends.

Note to older iPhone users: The new iOS 4.0.2 software update is good for iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS owners as well, which is awesome news.
